the safety of North Haven residents through the
enforcement of all applicable building codes for
new or existing structures within the Town. This
process typically includes the review of plans and
and the issuance of a building permit prior to the
start of construction followed by inspection work in
progress and ending in a Certificate of Occupancy
when all work has been completed in compliance
with the regulations.
The Building Code adopted by the Town of North Haven
is the 2005 Connecticut State Building Code. This
includes the 2003 International Building Code, the 2003
International Residential Code, the 2003 International
