General Permit - Miscellaneous Industrial Users (MIU GP)


On September 29, 2020 the State of Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP), acting under the authority of Section 22a-430b of the Connecticut General Statutes, re-issued the General Permit for Discharges from Miscellaneous Industrial Users (MIU GP).  Under this revised program, Miscellaneous Industrial Users must register their facilities with the municipality accepting their Industrial Wastewater Discharges. 

 The North Haven Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), at their February 8, 2021 special meeting amended their regulations to require businesses which qualify under the MIU GP program to submit their Notification Form to the WPCA directly. 

 A $200 processing fee is required with your Notification Form.  If paying by check, please make out to “Treasurer, Town of North Haven”.  Submission deadline for this Notification Form is April 29, 2021.  If you have any questions, please contact the Town Engineer’s Office at 203.239.5321 x430.
