Health Screenings


The Senior Center’s Director is the Municipal Agent for the Elderly and assists the Town Residents with senior service linkages/ referrals to other agencies and through outreach.

Information regarding Medicare, Medicaid, Conn PACE, the SNAP Program, home delivered meals, social security, protective services, home care, adult day care, transportation, fuel assistance and health screenings are available upon request.

In collaboration with Quinnipiac Chamber, a comprehensive 2009 North Haven Senior Community Resource Guide was developed for informational purposes providing opportunity, care, support services that allow older North Haven residents to remain in their own homes and community. This guide is available at the Senior Center and Town Hall for seniors and caregivers free of charge.

Health counseling screenings are held twice a month, the 2nd Monday and 4th Wednesday of each month at no charge and provided by VNA Community Healthcare. No appointment is necessary for the service that includes blood pressure screenings and general health questions, including questions pertaining to specific medications.
During the fall, an influenza and pneumonia vaccine clinic is held.

Additionally throughout the year, educational presentations are available to all.
